When I began to design our company logo I wanted to make certain it told a story about us. As I sit here writing this and thinking of just how much this logo means to me tears well up in my eyes.
People may question why I don't trade the dog image from a dachshund to an Australian Shepard since we now have Pima. This will never come about since my use of the dachshund in memory of my little pup Taz. I did not get a chance to spend many years with him before my husband passed away and I went back to Tucson. I entrusted him to be with my wonderful mother-in-law to help her with healing as well. I'm sad to say I missed the chance to say goodbye before he pasted to the other side to be with my husband Ray, who left us behind way too soon. Alright, now the tears really begin to flow. I will miss them both terribly. The use of the beautiful mountains that surround Tucson are something I'm lucky to experience every day. I love this city with it's wonderful culture, food, people and my family. This a place that I moved away twice from but have always been happy to get back to. And I know that mountains are not blue, though it is one of my favorite colors and why not use it.
When I began to design the logo I had a clear view from the start what I wanted. It's something I'm proud of and I hope others like it as well.
